Computer Science @ USD

Building AI/ML and backend systems.

I'm Zach, a junior engineer turning data and ideas into working software. This is where I share what I'm building along the way.

01 / ABOUT

A little context.

I'm studying computer science at USD and building at the intersection of AI, machine learning, and backend engineering.

My current projects explore how to turn industrial sensor data into useful signals, and how grounded AI can help make sense of them. I'm interested in the whole system: from the data pipeline to the API that makes it usable.

Built to figure things out.

02 SELECTED PROJECTS

From raw data to a useful answer. A few things I'm working on.

AI ENGINEERING01

AnomalyOps Copilot

A grounded AI assistant for investigating industrial alerts. Connects source documents and operational data to cited answers and read-only tools.

  • Python
  • FastAPI
  • OpenAI
  • pgvector
MACHINE LEARNING02

Industrial Anomaly Detection

An end-to-end platform that turns simulated sensor data into actionable alerts. Combines time-series ML, a FastAPI backend, and a Streamlit dashboard.

  • Python
  • FastAPI
  • Streamlit
  • SQLite
